Every relationship begins with an in-person intake led by our Executive Director, designed to understand the whole person, not just their needs. During this conversation, we learn about interests, personality, routines, goals for companionship, and scheduling preferences.
Step 1: Connection & Intake
Using insights from the intake, we thoughtfully pair each client with a trusted and trained compatible companion. Matching is based on personality, interests, communication style, cultural considerations, and desired pace of interaction.
Step 2: Companion Matching
Once matched, we collaborate with the client and family to design a visit schedule that fits their lifestyle. This includes determining visit length, frequency, preferred activities, and any special considerations. Scheduling is flexible to allow support to evolve as needs and interests change.
